Late Hours Urgent Care was one of the first authentic urgent care clinics that opened in the Brandon/Riverview area. Founded and staffed by providers trained in emergency medicine, designed to treat the vast majority of problems that arise in an urgent or semi urgent situation without the need to visit an emergency room. A place where illnesses and injuries can be treated without the wait, inconvenience and expense associated with a visit to the hospital. Less than 3% of patients seen at LHUC require a referral to the emergency room or other centers. Our scope of practice ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics, both medical and trauma. We take pride in the fact that our urgent care center shares a vision to provide high quality, accessible and compassionate health care to our local communities.
LHUC respects the relationship between a patient and their primary care provider and will work closely with them in all cases to ensure continuity of care. We are happy to forward our treatment plans to any care provider, we are not trying to replace any of them; our goal is to work harmoniously with them and be there when they are unavailable to their patients.
LHUC proudly serves as a teaching facility for several university medical programs including USF, LECOM medical school, Georgetown University, and University of Cincinnati. In addition, our nursing department serves as instructors for multiple area schools in both nursing and x-ray.
Our facilities are inspected biannually by the state and federal agencies and we are proud to be one of the few lab facilities with perfect scores by both COLA and Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
LHUC is independently owned and operated by physicians, we are not affiliated with any hospital or other medical entity. What this means for our patients is that our only interest when we refer a patient to another facility for testing or admission is their wellbeing. We will facilitate referral to whatever facility is in the patients’ best interest in regards to services, location, and patients’ personal preference.
